Wild Hearts Magazine Editorial "Ethereal Opulence" BEHIND THE SCENES

There is nothing we love better then working alongside some of New Zealand's most talented industry experts. This exclusive shoot was curated for the 2018 Wild Hearts Magazine. As with any styled shoot it is about telling a story and creating a journey, a moment in time to inspire and portray how we can use the elements to create something beautiful.

Our inspiration came from the Historic Ngaere Dairy factory built back in 1914 which sits right in the heart of Taranaki, New Zealand. Our concept was to contrast the old masculine and dirty surrounds by complimenting with harmony from the modern and sophisticated feminine beauty. A table of white on white with iridescent tones. Transparent and gold tinted glassware alongside subtle gold accents and a minimal, uncluttered table setting. Petal Pushers floral styling incorporated the ever so delicate Lunaria, the White Rose statement along with neutral Anthuriums used for their ability to soften the rigid space. Table details incorporating the transparent inspired Stationery designed by the talented Just My Type.

Taranaki really gave us a good dose of rain and winter like weather during our shoot day with constant down pours but did give us a gorgeous dark moody light to work with. As Elizabeth Edwards quotes "She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails" - you take what mother nature gives you and work with it. Curate a plan, take the best from the situation and really just create pure magic.

The girls from The Virtue worked their expert skills to capture the movements, the light and the pure beauty goddess of our bare foot babe Greer Baylis as a true art form. Completing the look with Hair and Makeup by none other than Annalee Muggeridge with masterpiece gowns and veil by New Zealand Designer Brooke Tyson Ritual.
